Associated Press Medical Marijuana interactive map, video gallery, AP/CNBC Polls
The Associated Press has released an interactive package on Medical Marijuana. The report includes an interactive map detailing the laws and limitations of the 14 states that have legalized Medical Marijuana and the 15 states with pending legislation, an AP/CNBC poll and a video gallery.
In their first poll question, addressing full legalization of marijuana for any purpose, respondents said:
Oppose -- 55%
Favor -- 33%
No opinion -- 11%
Don't know -- 1%
The interactive map is nice. The video's were not functioning properly when tested, but the poll info is worth a look.
When asked whether they would be interested in investing in a "private" company that was in the business of selling marijuana, respondents said:
Interested -- 24%
Not interested -- 75%
Don't know -- 1%
The best news is not the poll numbers. The best news is that The Associated Press is investing time creating content relating to marijuana reform. It's on the big radar. Newspapers and other mainstream media will likely follow suit with their own work, which will get more people talking and thinking.
